Sydney Chamber Opera is a fresh and youthful answer to some of the difficult questions facing today’s opera industry. It was founded in 2010 and has rapidly developed into an important and distinctive voice in the Australian music and theatre landscapes. Sydney Chamber Opera is critically acclaimed for its innovative programming, musical rigour and strong focus on compelling theatre-making.
To embody a 21st-century take on opera as an artform, the visual identity combines the bold and dynamic with the classical and elegant. The logo symbol derives from the five-line staff, disassembled and put together in a new way. A brand color palette reduced to black and white, acts as a neutral canvas to the imagery of the wide range of productions.
